Understanding Roe V. Wade

The misconception of Roe V. Wade

As many people already know the major court case of the 1970’s was overturned this year in a contradicting decision. The over turning of Roe V. Wade made abortion almost completely illegal in the United States of America.

This decisions created chaos on every single platform around the United States. The US government took a beating from this decision and this generation is speaking about how it’s their choice and their body. This has nothing to do with the original reason that Roe V. Wade was decided in the first place.

The people of today, most of which have never read the actual Roe V. Wade case don’t know that the original case was based on whether or not the Fetus was protected by the constitution as a living person. The case had nothing to do giving women control of their bodies. And the overturning of this case has nothing to do with taking control away from women.

In 1973 when this case was first decided, the court decided that the constitution did not protect the fetus as they found that the fetus was not alive. However as our science has gotten more advance, the studies concerning the fetus have shown that life begins at the moment of conception. When the sperm meets the egg is when the human life really begins. There is no way around this. It’s not a matter of separating Church from state. It’s not a matter of women’s rights. It’s a matter of life. The life that begins at conception.

Now I know almost the entire nation believes this decision is taking away women’s rights with their body. But I find it hard that most of the women in this nation are fine with committing murder. Because that what abortion is. Abortion may save lives but it kills the future of this country and the world. Abortion is not a right, it is a wrong.
